How we protect your personal data

Data that you will need to fill in our website are limited to information required for processing your order. All data that you entrust us with are kept within our system according to Greek Law (Ν.2472/97), are intended for usage solely for usage within our website operation and it is not allowed for any third party to use them, except for certain circumstances  -for example criminal activity- otherwise defined by law.

Our database is protected using SSL128-bit encryption. This means that all information that you fill in at any page of our website is encrypted in order to be securely transferred to our system and then it is decoded so that we can use it. This guarantees protection of information against malicious third party attempts (to a reasonable extent, since there is not a completely safe environment).

Above all, our personal ethics and the 10 years of our company’s experience in the fields of commerce and e-commerce, guarantee that we will not misuse or distribute information that you give to us.

Session Cookies

Like many other Companies and websites, our site uses as well session cookies, in order to make surfing through our pages more convenient. This way our system “remembers” the password that you have used in a previously visited page, so that you will not have to enter this data again and again. This data is deleted from our system as soon as you leave our website, but they  are kept in your computer’s cache memory (that is why our system will recognize you the next time that you will visit our site) and they will only be deleted if you select the option “delete cookies” from your browser’s menu.

Credit Card details

We do not store any data about your credit cards and other ways of payment and we will never ask from you to send us your credit card details in an e-mail. Besides, the procedure of payment with credit card is performed through bank's payments system.

How do we protect your data

Encryption

In order to ensure that your personal data is secure (password, address, phone numbers, credit card details etc.), and there is no possibility of it becoming available to third parties, all sensitive personal information is encrypted using 128-bit secure sockets layer (SSL) technology. In order for SSL security to work, you must use an SSL enabled browser.

Secure Socket Layer (SSL) is a way of encoding information that you insert in our system until we receive it. Then this information is decoded so that we can read it. This way it is secured that a third party will not interfere with or use the sensitive data that you entrust us.

Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Therefore when you transfer any information to our site, you do so at your own risk.

Login

Access to your personal account is performed through 2 unique codes, your username and password. Both security codes are personal, they have been chosen by you and you are responsible for keeping them private. Giving them to third parties, even to friends of yours, relatives etc., can potentially lead to misuse of your account, such as orders that have not been approved by you. We strongly recommend that you change your password from time to time for security reasons and include letters, numbers AND symbols in it.

Firewall

Access to our system (data base and other sensitive information) is protected through firewall in our servers.
